Breathwork and Radical Self-Care for Building Self-Awareness with Jamie Schumann | Flow Breathwork Facilitator Student Spotlight Series

Meet Jamie Schumann of @collectiveinnergarden

๐ŸŒŸ Jamie is a former career counselor turned Breathwork Facilitator who loves creating expansive experiences for herself and others through holistic and radical self-care. She created Collective Inner Garden for sharing how she uses breathwork and other self-care practices as a way to build self-awareness, self-love, self-trust, and self-acceptance for embodying wholeness. It represents a garden of seeds sheโ€™s planted for herself to help you along with watering yours.

Jamie says:

  • We've come to incarnate on this planet to live out a specific journey, a specific mission, and for many of us that are in this type of healing arts work that means that we're here to help heal ourselves and help heal each other in the world to create a new place for us to be at harmony with each other.

  • You can feel grief and still feel excitement. We can hold multiple experiences. As human beings, we're not limited to these clunky bodies that we live in.

  • Our bodies are here to support us in our journey. They're here to help us bring things into life, and to ground things on this planet, and solidify things, but they can be more complex: our thoughts, our emotions, and that's a big part for me. The emotional experience.

We had a fun chat about:

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ The importance of making connections with the messages your body sends you

๐Ÿ’š The bodyโ€™s capacity to hold a deep and wide range of feelings and emotions

๐Ÿ‘๏ธ Somatic inquiry creates space for us to hear the whispers of our soul and guide us to our purpose
